What is your unit mix?

We have townhouses consistinng of 4 or 5 bedrooms. The unit mix can be found in the
informational sheet of available rooms. We have:

  • 5 Bedroom/1 Bath
  • 4 Bedroom/2 Bath
  • 4 Bedroom/1 Bath

 

How many bathrooms are there?

Some townhouses have 2 bathrooms while others have 1. All the units with 2 bathrooms have 4
bedrooms.

 

We only have 3 friends who want to live together, do we have to look for a 4th before we
can move in?

Absolutely not! A fourth individual will be placed with you.

 

Is there laundry on site?

Yes, there is laundry on site.

Do you have a phone number I can call?

Most of our communication is done by email. Email is the best way to reach management –
info@thevillageathartford.com.

Are the utilities included with rent?

You will pay rent plus a $50 utility charge that includes heat, hot water and electricity.

 

Are there any other associated charges apart from utilities?

All residents are required to have renters insurance, but if you do not have that, we provide
insurance to cover any landlord associated insurance at $25/mo. You can opt into this, if
needed, while signing your lease. If you choose to opt out, you will be required to provide a copy
of your renters insurance.

 

When is the earliest I can move in?

Please reach out to info@thevillageathartford.com for information about availability. If there is
availability, we are able to move in residents within 48hours of filling out an application.

 

How do I pay my rent?

You will be paying rent through the Qira platform. Instructions around this will be provided as
part of the move-in.

 

How do I log in maintenance requests?

The Qira app allows residents to log in any maintenance requests, which are usually addressed
with 24-48 hours depending on the request.

Will I need to put down a deposit?

This depends on what you are approved through Qira. Finish an application on Qira to see if
you qualify to rent without a deposit.

Is the housing safe?

The Villages at Hartford Townhouses have 24 hours security camera surveillance. We pride
ourselves in having and maintaining a secure housing facility.

Are the townhouses co-ed?

Yes, the townhouses are co-ed unless specifically requested. If a resident is applying by
themselves and want to stay in a non co-ed townhouse, they will be placed in one, depending
on the room availability.

 

Can I change my room/townhouse after I move in?

Unless authorized by the management, you will not be able to change your room/townhouse for
you lease period, as your lease is specific to your accommodation. But if there is a need to
change, based on the reason and availability, management will consider.

 

Do the townhouses come furnished?

Basic furniture is provided in the common areas as well as each room. A bed, mattress, desk
and chair will be provided in each room. All appliances in the common areas are for communal
use, and must be maintained together by residents.

 

Can I have guests overnight?

No overnight guests are allowed, to be respectful of the other residents in the townhouse.

 

Are pets allowed?

Currently, we do not allow pets to live with resident. If your pet is an emotional support
companion, or a service animal, proper documentation will need to be provided, and
management will consider based on room availability.

 

What is the application process? And how long would it take for me to qualify and
move-in?

All interested residents should apply on our website, using the “Apply Now” link. This directs you
to the Qira application, where all necessary details will need to be filled out. As the Qira team
qualifies residents for background checks and deposit waivers, you will need to write in to
info@villagesathartford.com letting management know what room you would like to apply for.
Once approved, a lease will be sent out to your email, and upon signing, move in options are
available within 24-48 hours. Our Resident Assistant will help with your move in and will be in
touch around coordination.
